I am pleased to announce that I have been elected to serve as Senior Vice President & General Counsel of the Atlantic Legal Foundation, where I will strategize and implement its cornerstone amicus curiae (“friend of the court”) program. I also look forward to continuing my independent, nationwide, appellate litigation practice at Capital Appellate Advocacy PLLC, the boutique law firm that I founded in 2016.
The Atlantic Legal Foundation is a national public interest law firm that has advocated for individual liberty, free enterprise, property rights, limited government, sound science, and school choice since 1977. Amicus opportunities come to Atlantic Legal in a variety of ways, often through requests from prominent law firms that seek high-quality amicus support in cases before the Supreme Court, and in federal courts of appeals and state appellate courts throughout the United States.
Commenting on my August 13 election by Atlantic Legal’s Board of Directors, Hayward D. Fisk, the Foundation’s Chairman & President, stated, “The Atlantic Legal Foundation is delighted that a skilled and experienced appellate advocate of Larry Ebner’s caliber will be leading the Foundation’s amicus program, including by authoring our amicus briefs.”
In addition to my appellate litigation practice at Atlantic Legal and Capital Appellate Advocacy, I will be continuing my volunteer leadership roles at DRI-The Voice of the Defense Bar, where I serve as Co-Vice Chair of the Center for Law and Public Policy and Immediate Past Chair of the Amicus Committee .
